A team of talented Digital leaders with diverse backgrounds and skills are committed to helping Air New Zealand achieve its big digital ambitions. Type of roles
Our Software Engineering team consists of developers, quality assurance, architects, systems and support analysts working in matrix product teams to build, maintain and enhance a wide variety of apps and systems. Many of these are publicly accessible, well known and widely used, and all contribute to the Air New Zealand’s unique brand.
User Experience (UX)
At Air New Zealand you’ll design digital experiences that connect and support millions of travellers each year. You’ll work on an iconic brand, at the bleeding edge of technology and help the airline shape the future – faster.
The range and breadth of products at Air New Zealand is vast. Our Product Managers are the “voice of our customer” and are empowered to drive and deliver product vision and roadmaps. Together with UX and developer teams, you'll get our product plans off the page into real tangible products that deliver real value to our customers.
Air New Zealand is at the forefront of enterprise-scale adoption of cloud services in New Zealand. These cutting-edge tools and platforms are underpinning the digital transformation that will ensure Air New Zealand has a leading role in the digital revolution sweeping the airline and travel industry.
Data & Analytics
Data, analytics and data science practitioners make us more competitive by empowering better decision making through analytics and insights. The team analyses data to build solutions and make recommendations that improve our business decisions and products. You’ll get to work with richness and size of data sets quite unique to our organisation, and investment we're making in big data platform and machine learning capabilities.
Strategy and Transformation
The Strategy and Transformation team look at the big picture and accelerate transformation across Air New Zealand. The team promotes collaboration, offers expertise, and defines tools and best practice. The team is made up of roles in architecture, strategy, agile coaching, business performance, complex programmes and Change Management.
The team is transforming how we engage on digital platforms, leveraging customer data to deliver personalised content and communications across owned and paid digital channels (including web, mobile, programmatic display advertising and search). We're investing big, to be at the forefront of digital marketing in New Zealand. You’ll define and implement high-impact marketing programmes which have a direct impact on our revenue and business performance.
Cyber threats are a big risk to any organisation, and Air New Zealand is not immune. As a security expert, you’ll focus on detecting, protecting against and responding to cyber threats to both traditional information systems, but also to our aircrafts and airport.

At your interview we’ll focus on four areas: Your potential (ambition, learning agility and engagement skills) leadership qualities, whether your personal values are a good fit with our organisational values and your technical abilities.
You will be invited to attend a second interview where we will assess your experience and skills and you will receive further information about the position.
Psychometric / Technical Testing
Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete further psychometric or technical evaluation tests.
You will be asked to complete vetting and reference checks and if these are successful you will be asked to join the team.
