Cabin Crew Manager
The Cabin Crew Manager is responsible for a team of approximately 100, including flight attendants and onboard leaders. You will also be partnering with stakeholders on all business changes and initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your leadership capability in a complex operations environment.
Flight Attendant - ATR Fleet
As a Flight Attendant on our ATR Fleet you have the best of both worlds. Not only do you operate on the domestic main trunk routes, you also get to enjoy the amazing scenery and sights of regional New Zealand. You operate from Invercargill to Auckland and everywhere else in between so you will become a true ambassador and explorer of New Zealand. In a day you may meet our corporate customers, overseas tourists, sports teams, locals, families and customers who may need some extra care. No two days are the same and you are constantly thinking on your feet to deliver a quality customer service experience.

Flight Attendant - Jet Fleet

Flight Attendant - Q300 Fleet
On our Q300 Fleet you will be a sole charge Flight Attendant, responsible for providing the consistent delivery of customer experience. You will implement all regulatory and safety requirements for customers in the cabin environment and will effectively lead and defuse any potential disruptions and issues by embracing the Air New Zealand brand values.
Qualifications and experience
Becoming a Flight Attendant involves an intensive training period, after which you’ll be ready to fly in a career like no other. You must be a people person with great enthusiasm, a passion for flying and the innate ability to welcome your passengers with a smile daily. You will be supported and trained to become the best you can be, however to apply you should already have some core skills.;
Team player
Working together as a team is vital for providing excellent customer service and will ensure the best outcome for any situation that may arise.
Customer experience
If you’re starting out as a Flight Attendant, you’ll need a minimum of 24 months proven experience in a customer-facing role working in restaurants, hotels, hospitality, retail or other positions with a customer focus.
A sense of pride
Delivering our unique brand of Kiwi hospitality, you’ll take great pride in your personal brand, presentation and passion in representing New Zealand whether it’s on a domestic flight or a long-haul journey.
Physically fit
You will need to complete a swim test to show you can swim 50 metres in under two minutes and be able to tread water for one minute unaided.
Solutions focus
Strong problem solving skills and keeping a cool head at all times is a vital part of this job. If there’s an emergency, passengers will rely on you to provide advice and instructions. You’ll be called on to help people who may require assistance such as the elderly, people with disabilities, children, infants and passengers who become unwell during the flight.

Application
Once you have completed your application we will assess your skills and experience against the requirements of the Flight Attendant position.
Digital interview & cognitive assessments
You will be required to complete a digital interview which involves answering pre-set questions in short-form video format, giving you an opportunity to expand on your skills and experience. You will also be required to complete online cognitive ability assessments.
Recruitment event
If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend a recruitment event where you will receive more information on the role and have the opportunity to meet with Cabin Crew Managers and other applicants.
Vetting
As part of the next stage of your application you will be asked to complete a swim test as well as security, medical and reference checks.
Offer of employment
If you meet all of our requirements, you will be placed into our candidate talent pool. Once we have an available paid Cabin Crew training course, you will be invited to join the Air New Zealand whānau.

Training and development
Getting your wings is easier than you think. After successfully completing an intensive 4-5 week training course on the ground, you’ll qualify as an Air New Zealand Flight Attendant. From there, you can continue to progress your career with further support and training.
