Air New Zealand is searching for three cone-noisseurs to take on the coolest role* of the summer: Chief Ice Cream Taster.
We’ve partnered with Appleby Farms to whip up a limited-edition summer flavour that will be enjoyed by millions of travellers onboard. But before it flies, it needs your seal of approval. Your mission? Taste-test and decide which scoop deserves to go global.
This is your chance to share the taste of a Kiwi summer with the world.
What this role means to us
We’re in the business of joy. And nothing melts hearts faster than ice cream. By stepping into this role, you’ll help us take a Nelson-made favourite to new heights and make sure the flavour we serve really hits the sweet spot.
Successful applicants will join us for a one-off tasting day in Nelson, where your verdict will help crown the official Air New Zealand summer ice cream flavour. Think of it as a board meeting, but with sprinkles.
What we’re looking for
This isn’t your average summer gig, here’s the scoop:
• No age limits. From young in age to young at heart all are welcome.
• Proven passion. References may include empty tubs, sticky CVs, or selfies with triple scoops.
• Brain freeze stamina. Ability to soldier on when the cold hits.
• Dessert demolition skills. Previous experience desirable, but not essential.
• Cone-centration and chill. Staying cool under pressure is key.
