Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures (Sheet Metal)

Air New Zealand Engineering and Maintenance in Christchurch has vacancies for permanent Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - Structures to join their team.

In this role you will be performing metal structural repairs and modifications on aircraft (including A320/321 CEO/NEO, ATR72, Q300 and LC130 types) and components on the Air New Zealand fleet and customer aircraft.

We seek a person that is committed to a safe workplace, is passionately customer focused, and who is comfortable working as part of a team. You'll be adept at thinking outside the square while meeting compliance and company legislative/regulatory standards. Strong communication skills are critical, as well as the ability to relate and interact with a wide range of people on a day-to-day basis.

The technical skills you need:

  • You will have a strong understanding of the Air New Zealand values with the ability to focus on our goals of Safe/Compliant/Efficient
  • Completed Trade Apprenticeship - aircraft industry or Level 4 National Certificate 
  • Knowledge and experience suitable for working on a broad range of repairs and fabrication of products relating to aircraft metal structure
  • Previous structures/metal working experience is required. 

Our Benefits: 
Base Salary starting package of $81000-$120000 (dependant on skillset and experience) per annum, a 4% KiwiSaver match plus allowances (shift, certifications & overtime).

For successful candidates, we will provide immigration support and a generous relocation package from your home country to New Zealand (locations include Auckland, Christchurch, Nelson and Wellington).
