Airworthiness Engineer
Kia ora!
Are you ready to take your engineering expertise to the next level? We’re looking for a Airworthiness Engineer to join our dynamic Airworthiness Team in Christchurch. This is an exciting permanent, full time (40 hours per week) opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our Airbus fleet.
What You’ll Do
No two days will be the same! One day, you might be reviewing technical and repair data, producing reports, and providing sound technical solutions. The next, you’ll be influencing key technical decisions, negotiating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and collaborating with regulatory authorities on technical matters.
Your ability to analyze complex engineering challenges, think critically, and communicate effectively will be key to your success in this role. If you have prior experience in aircraft structures, that’s a definite advantage!
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who’s proactive, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. You’ll be working closely with a highly skilled team of experts, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our world-class airline.
Key Requirement
- At least 2 years structures experience on large commercial aircraft
Preferred
- Aerospace/Aviation Engineering qualifications
- Hands-on experience in an aircraft maintenance environment is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence key decisions
- Excellent PC skills (SAP knowledge is beneficial)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Why Join Us?
At Air New Zealand, you’ll be supported by a team of technical and subject matter experts while having access to a variety of career growth opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to improvement projects, helping shape the future of our airline.
As an Air New Zealand leader, you’ll embody our Kia Mau Strategy – fostering teamwork, making sound commercial and operational decisions, and maintaining safety as our top priority. If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, apply now via our careers site. Applications close on 4th June.
