Contract Change Manager (Delivery Enablement Specialist)

Kia ora!

At Air New Zealand, we are building back better as we connect friends and whānau all over Aotearoa to each other and reconnect Kiwis to the World. To help accelerate creating these connections, we are doing things a little differently by reaping the benefits of operating in an Agile way - we call this Full Potential. We believe our new ways of working will help us deliver the best flying experience on Earth for our customers, make Air New Zealand the best place to work for our employees, and enable us to adapt to uncertainty and make decisions faster.

To support this vision, we are currently seeking an experienced Change Manager on a 6 month contract (known internally as a Delivery Enablement Specialist) to join the Digital Delivery Enablement team. You will have a hands-on "roll your sleeves up" approach to the delivery of your Tribe and Squad(s) outcomes and be motivated by using your breadth of Delivery skills.

You will champion and leverage our agile operating rhythm to deliver outcomes via large-scale cross-functional initiatives. This will require you to manage complex dependencies between teams, third parties, and across the organisation to ensure end-to-end delivery success.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead change activities for a project or initiative to support the adoption of changes and ensure effective, efficient, and timely delivery of value.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders to support effective change delivery and planning.
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications to ensure employee understanding and engagement for relevant change projects and initiatives.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate change management risks and issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure stakeholders' requirements are balanced and to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Actively ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems & procedures engaged in or associated with own area of responsibility or otherwise under own control or influence.
  • Experience in Agile Project methodologies.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience leading and delivering technology and business outcomes in a corporate environment.
  • Significant experience leading large-scale organisational change efforts.
  • Experience across the traditional project delivery areas of Change Management, Project Management and Business Analysis with the ability to apply these skills to meet the project goals.
  • Ability to "navigate the grey" to define the black & white and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Strong influencing and engagement skills that enable you to work with diverse stakeholder groups while managing expectations.
  • Active listener and clear communicator, enabling effective technical discussions to closure.
  • Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or operations a plus.

Air New Zealand values flexibility and supports hybrid working. Kindly note this role requires at least 3 days per week at our Auckland Airport Campus.

To be considered for this opportunity, please apply via our Careers site with an updated CV.
