To support this vision, we are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (known internally as a Delivery Enablement Specialist) to join the Digital Delivery Enablement team. You will have a hands-on "roll your sleeves up" approach to the delivery of your Tribe and Squad(s) outcomes and be motivated by using your breadth of Delivery skills.
You will champion and leverage our agile operating rhythm to deliver outcomes via large-scale cross-functional initiatives. This will require you to manage complex dependencies between teams, third parties, and across the organisation to ensure end-to-end delivery success.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery activities for a project or initiative to support the timely delivery of value, by being an expert problem solver you will unblock constraints, leverage the full potential model to drive the outcomes.
- Relentlessly manages to milestone delivery, unblocking the 'system' where required.
- Manages complex initiatives with diverse stakeholders across locations, time zones, and delivery methods
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure stakeholders' requirements are balanced and to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Builds a culture where the team works together toward shared goals.
- Monitor and analyse teams’ throughput, identifying opportunities to improve delivery accuracy and efficiency.
- Actively ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems & procedures engaged in or associated with own area of responsibility or otherwise under own control or influence.
- Works within the governance structures in place, will be actively involved with vendors during RFI/RFP and resulting contractual arrangements
- Experience in Agile Project methodologies.
Experience & Skills:
- 10 years experience leading and delivering technology and business outcomes in a corporate environment.
- Significant experience leading large-scale organisational transformation efforts.
- Thinks critically to assess uncertainty and find clear solutions to complex situations.
- Experience across the traditional project delivery areas of Change Management, Project Management and Business Analysis with the ability to apply these skills to meet the value goals.
- Strong influencing and engagement skills that enable you to work with diverse stakeholder groups while managing expectations.
- Active listener and clear communicator, enabling effective technical discussions to closure.
- Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or operations a plus.
Air New Zealand values flexibility and supports hybrid working. Kindly note this role requires at least 3 days per week within our Auckland offices either at the Hub (CBD) or Airport Campus.
