Digital Content Specialist - Fixed Term Contract

We’re looking for a Digital Content Specialist to help improve and simplify content across the Air New Zealand website. This is a short-term contract with an immediate start, running through to 30 June 2026.

This is a hands-on delivery role focused on reviewing, rewriting, and optimising content so it’s clear, accurate, and easy for customers to use. You’ll be working across complex subject matter and making practical content decisions at pace, using data and insights where available. 

You’ll partner closely with content leads and stakeholders, but will be trusted to get on with the work and move things forward. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Review, rewrite, and publish user-centred digital content  
  • Turn complex information into clear, simple, usable content  
  • Use data and insights to improve content performance  
  • Apply accessibility, editorial, and brand standards  
  • Work with stakeholders to validate and refine content  
  • Manage and update content in CMS platforms  

What we’re looking for 

  • Experience designing, writing, editing, and publishing digital content  
  • Confidence working with complex or technical content  
  • Strong editorial judgement and ability to make pragmatic decisions  
  • Experience using data or insights to improve content  
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)  
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Experience using content management systems  

About you 

You’re comfortable working in fast-moving environments and don’t need everything to be perfectly defined before getting started. You can balance customer needs with business requirements and are confident making decisions with the information available.
