Flight Planning Manager

Based at our Airport Campus at Auckland Airport, this leadership role sits within our Airline Operations team and plays a vital part in ensuring operational excellence.

How you’ll make an impact

Based in our Integrated Operations Centre at Auckland airport, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing our high-performing, Auckland-based Flight Planning team to deliver consistent, compliant, and safe flight planning services
  • Building and maintaining strong, customer-focused relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing infrastructure supporting flight planning, including database management, policies, training, and process documentation
  • Aligning procedures, standards, and training to support a fully integrated Flight Planning function
  • Driving continuous improvement across flight planning operations through effective collaboration, risk management and operational insight
  • Liaise and coordinate with our union partners to ensure the ongoing success of the partnership
  • Ensure operational budgets, resourcing needs and regulatory compliance are on track and all risks are managed effectively

  • Proven experience leading and developing operational teams in complex environments
  • Deep understanding of flight planning processes, systems, and aviation operations
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills to work collaboratively across the business
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, safety, and service excellence
  • Confidence working with a range of internal teams, as well as union and external partners
