Online Retail Executive - Airpoints (eCommerce Specialist)

The Airpoints programme is New Zealand's largest and most valuable loyalty programme, dedicated to turning members' dream experiences into reality. With ambitious growth plans, we are seeking a skilled eCommerce Specialist to join our Online Retail team, shaping the way members earn and redeem Airpoints Dollars through the development and optimisation of our eCommerce platform.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for eCommerce, ability to handle high volumes in a fast-paced environment, an excellent understanding of customer behaviour, and a proven track record of implementing successful strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention. Your role will work across many aspects of eCommerce to offer exciting rewards to our Airpoints members. 

About the role: 

  • Develop and execute promotions, collaborating with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Use data and technology to recommend product selection and content design to maximise revenue
  • Work with marketing, developers, and customer service teams to align initiatives
  • Manage high-volume uploads of new products and content to the website
  • Enhance online features and capabilities to improve customer experience and boost transactions
  • Oversee internal and external partnerships to drive performance and launch effective campaigns
  • Conduct analysis to identify business problems and opportunities
  • Deliver presentations with insights and recommendations for campaigns, site capabilities, and reporting.

Our ideal candidate: 

  • You will be an experienced and driven eCommerce specialist with solid knowledge of eCommerce, and CMS systems
  • A good command of digital analytics platforms to leverage data and customer insights to optimise digital conversion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills with an ability to confidently communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of key levers to optimise online success.
  • Ability to handle high volume processing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
