Planning Support Specialist

About the Role:
Air New Zealand is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Planning Support Specialist / Planning Standards Developer.
This position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our planning tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting business resilience.
A significant focus of the role will be on leveraging and integrating advanced digital tools to drive our commitment to our Kia Mau Strategy. You will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of our maintenance planning processes, utilising cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. This will include utilising snowflake data to unlock insights, supporting and implementing changes to data models that measure and analyse E&M business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Critical Tools: Maintain and enhance AMS, MS Access Databases, Excel spreadsheets, and locally developed tools and scripts used for capacity, slot, and production planning.
- Knowledge Transfer: Document processes and perform knowledge transfer to ensure business continuity.
- Business Resilience: Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with the potential failure of critical planning tools.
- Compliance: Ensure all planning tools and processes comply with CAANZ Part 145.59 (3) (ii) and Air New Zealand Part 145 MOE.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in AMS, MS Access, Excel, SAP, Power BI, Power Query, VBA, and Python.
- Experience with capacity and production planning tools.
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
