Air New Zealand is one of the world's leading airlines, known around the world, not just for our name and our innovation, but also for our reputation. Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Specialist to join our Operational Integrity and Safety team (OI&S).
As a Safety Specialist, you will:
- Identify operational-related safety threats to the company's operation and therefore help to mitigate any risks to the business
- Conduct, coordinate and manage investigations & audits
- Analyse operational safety occurrences
- Recommend improvements to operational integrity techniques, processes and company systems
- Support promotion of safety related initiatives and activities through engagement with key stakeholders
- Support development of safety training and communication throughout the business
- Support the growth of Air New Zealand’s Safety and Reporting Culture including the application of Just Culture principles.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional relationship management and influencing skills, as the success of this role is dependent on working collaboratively with stakeholders
- An understanding of SMS and risk management
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory framework and/or other areas of compliance.
Our ideal candidate would have a background in Ground Operations.
