Senior Business Analyst

Kia ora!

Air New Zealand is on an accelerated journey to deliver the best flying experience on Earth. Our purpose is to enrich our country by connecting New Zealanders to each other, and New Zealand to the world. Guided by our brand promise of Manaaki—caring more deeply than any other airline—we create experiences that empower, connect, and inspire.

We’re continuing to invest in our people by modernising the learning experience for Air New Zealanders, upgrading our learning technology, and improving the adaptability and adoption of our Learning Management System (LMS). To help bring this to life, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst (known internally as a Product Management Specialist) to join us on a contract through to the end of March 2026.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be key in shaping and delivering initiatives that enhance how our people learn and grow. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external vendors to uplift our learning technology ecosystem, ensuring that solutions are aligned to business needs and deliver lasting impact. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and pace to complex projects, helping to create a modern, engaging, and technology-enabled learning experience across our organisation.

You’ll be operating within our enterprise Agile environment, so experience working in Agile ways of working is essential. You’ll be comfortable collaborating within cross-functional squads, managing priorities, and delivering outcomes iteratively to achieve value early and often.

About you

You’re a confident and proactive Senior Business Analyst who thrives in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments and knows how to make things happen. You’ll have proven experience as a Business Analyst within large or complex organisations, with a proactive, “go-getter” mindset and the confidence to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Experience in learning technologies, HR systems, or digital transformation is desirable, along with familiarity with large-enterprise environments. Strong communication and vendor management skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with partners to deliver outcomes efficiently and effectively.

Why Air New Zealand

You’ll be joining an organisation that’s proud to champion innovation, learning, and development. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence how our people learn, collaborate, and grow—helping shape the future of learning at Air New Zealand.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please note we’ll be shortlisting and interviewing as applications arrive, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Applications close 11:59pm, Sunday 9 November.
