Senior Commercial Systems Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Revenue Management Optimisation team as a Senior Commercial Systems Analyst (Senior Revenue Management Specialist). Playing a key part in maximising Air New Zealand's commercial performance by contributing to the ongoing support and development of a world class Revenue Management system.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead Revenue Management Optimisation, this role will suit someone with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and asking “what if?” to challenge the status quo and create value.

The role you will play:

  • Ensure Air New Zealand’s revenue management systems and processes support the delivery of the annual revenue plan and longer-term business strategy
  • Provide expertise in system configuration, user support, and incident management, ensuring timely resolution and reliable operation of RM applications
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation, leveraging feedback, and ensuring systems evolve in line with business needs and technological advances
  • Lead the design, testing, and delivery of system enhancements, including optimisation capability, automation of monitoring solutions, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing trusted advice to senior leaders and ensuring successful implementation of the RM systems roadmap
  • Support end-users with accessible tools, training, and guidance to maximise the impact of RM systems across the business

Our ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in a commercial or information technology discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial, systems or analytical based role, with practical skills across multiple platforms (Windows, middleware, cloud-based environments)
  • Hands-on exposure to working with databases, API integrations, and system-to-system integrations
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset with the energy and curiosity to learn new skills, contribute ideas, and positively influence the wider team
  • Strong problem-solving ability, using structured and logical approaches to tackle complex or ambiguous challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and advise senior stakeholders
  • Adaptability and resilience, thriving in a dynamic environment and comfortable navigating change and uncertainty
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the business, leveraging collaboration to drive results.
