Senior Systems Analyst (Workday/ HR Systems)

Our Digital team is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join the HR, People & Safety Applications team to support and develop our Workday ERP system.
As a Senior Systems Analyst you will be responsible for the technical analysis and support of business applications and systems (predominantly Workday) within the People portfolio. You will be a subject matter expert on the application and associated business processes and lead the implementation of system enhancements to support continuous improvement.
As a senior member of the team, you will have a keen focus on leading by example, mentoring and coaching our Systems Analysts, facilitating meetings/workshops and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Day to day support of HR, People and Safety systems (incident management)
  • Implementation and delivery of system enhancements and integrations (change & release management)
  • Driving system efficiencies and reducing risk of failure and/or downtime (problem management) 
  • Ongoing development to improve system availability and performance
  • Analysis, mapping, and documentation of business processes
  • Peer mentoring and leadership
  • Meeting & workshop facilitation
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong Workday functional configuration and production support experience
  • Experience with Workday business processes, security, reporting, and calculated fields
  • Experience supporting Workday integrations, including issue diagnosis, monitoring, data mapping, and release/change impact
  • Understanding of Workday integration technologies such as EIBs, Core Connectors, APIs, XML/XSLT and SFTP
  • Strong testing, release management, and incident/problem management experience in a complex enterprise environment
  • Proven experience supporting HR systems
  • Good understanding of HR business processes
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues
  • Experience with system integrations
  • Ability to interrogate data from databases and generate reports
  • Previous experience in establishing and effectively maintaining collaborative stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with meeting and workshop facilitation
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Be an exceptional communicator with strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work without direct supervision

Highly regarded

  • Experience with Workday Studio
  • Experience leading and driving Agile ways of working within a team
