Account Manager - Leisure (UK)

We are currently recruiting for an onsite Account Manager – Leisure focusing on the indirect distribution channels to join our regional Sales Team based in London.

About the Role:

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing a key portfolio of trade partners across the UK and selected European markets.

This is a pivotal position with a strong focus on account engagement, building long-term strategic relationships, and influencing high-level decision-makers. You’ll be tasked with driving incremental revenue growth, expanding market share, and deepening preferred partnerships across the UK and Europe.

The role will also involve representing Air New Zealand at trade events, destination seminars, and partner forums—positioning us for success in competitive B2B environments.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a strategic portfolio of leisure agencies across the managed account portfolio.
  • Influence key stakeholders and decision-makers to develop preferred partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales Planning, Commercial, Market Development) to align strategy and optimise performance.
  • Utilise sales and market data to make evidence-based decisions and support account planning.
  • Promote Air New Zealand’s brand story, customer value, and competitive differentiation at industry events and partner engagements.

Our ideal candidate:

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales strategy, account management, and commercial analysis.
  • Strong expertise in Leisure Sales within the UK or European travel industry.
  • A deep understanding of market dynamics and customer buying behaviours in the region.
  • Excellent communication and professional presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • A well-established network within the UK/Europe travel trade is highly advantageous.
