Aircraft Service Agent - Nelson (6-month Fixed Term)

This is a part time, 6-month fixed term opportunity where no two shifts are the same. You’ll work both indoors and outdoors alongside a variety of aircraft and ground equipment, supporting the smooth turnaround of flights and helping maintain the high standards our customers expect from Air New Zealand.

What you’ll be doing

• Safely load and unload baggage to support on-time aircraft departures and arrivals
• Clean aircraft interiors to ensure a welcoming experience for every customer
• Work closely with team members to keep airport operations running smoothly and efficiently
• Operate in a safety-conscious environment, following procedures and prioritising care at every step
• Adapt to changing flight schedules, operational priorities, and weather conditions
• Work in and around smaller Q300 and ATR aircraft, including tight spaces and physically active environments

What we’re looking for

• You must be entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand at the time of applying (NZ/AU Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident)
• A Full or Restricted New Zealand Drivers Licence
• Experience working in a physically demanding role, ideally within a safety-focused environment
• A strong work ethic and motivation to deliver the best outcome for customers and colleagues
• Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines

Shift Work Roster

This part time role involves working between 36 and 72 hours per fortnight on a rotating shift roster. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays depending on operational requirements and flight schedules. Flexibility across different shift times and days is essential.
