Airworthiness Engineer- Narrowbody

Are you ready to take your engineering expertise to the next level? We’re looking for a Narrowbody Airworthiness Engineer to join our dynamic Airworthiness Team in Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our Airbus fleet.

What You’ll Do

No two days will be the same! One day, you might be reviewing technical and repair data, producing reports, and providing sound technical solutions. The next, you’ll be influencing key technical decisions, negotiating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and collaborating with regulatory authorities on technical matters.

Your ability to analyze complex engineering challenges, think critically, and communicate effectively will be key to your success in this role. If you have prior experience in aircraft structures, that’s a definite advantage!

We want someone who’s proactive, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. You’ll be working closely with a highly skilled team of experts, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our world-class airline.

Key Requirements

  • Aerospace/Aviation Engineering qualifications and/or
  • Technical expertise in Large Commercial Aircraft (Airbus preferred) – structures experience is highly valued
  • Hands-on experience in an aircraft maintenance environment is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence key decisions
  • Excellent PC skills (SAP knowledge is beneficial)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
