Assistant Accountant

We have several opportunities for driven Assistant Accountants to join our team, including both permanent and fixed-term positions. 

Working with the team across hundreds and thousands of transactions, including bank reconciliations, sales, receivables, payables, credit card transactions, and taxes, you will reconcile millions of dollars per week. You will be involved with complex accounting matters, providing analysis and advice for tactical decisions. Additionally, you will ensure that your department’s accounting function makes valuable contributions to the wider business. 

About you:  

• You will know the fundamental accounting principles and have financial accounting experience in large, complex businesses with high volumes of transactions
• You will have demonstrated experience in investigating variances and handling complex reconciliations
• Your strong communication skills will see you building strong stakeholder relationships within the business
• Your experience with large accounting systems and confidence in Excel will see you picking up this role quickly
• Your driven and continuous improvement mindset will see you challenging the status quo.

This is a hands-on role for an energetic individual with an appetite to build their career in a fast-paced environment. You'll have demonstrable success as an accounting professional in a similar role within a sizable corporate organisation.
