Chapter Lead (Software Engineering)

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Set and implement technical standards, ensuring high-quality, scalable software delivery.
  • Partner with other chapters to align software engineering principles across multiple disciplines.
  • Champion Agile best practices, empowering your team to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Collaborate across business areas, bridging technical teams and business objectives to deliver value.
  • Foster innovation and experimentation, creating an environment where your team can thrive.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience leading microservices engineering teams, with exposure to one or more other crafts (frontend, mobile, QA automation)
  • Strong knowledge of modern development frameworks and languages including Java, JavaScript, Kotlin and/ or Swift.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kafka, Mule, or IBM WebSphere (advantageous).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, nurturing both individual and team growth.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, adept at translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with product owners and providing technical leadership to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • A passion for driving technical excellence and a track record of successful project delivery.
