We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Performance Marketing Analyst to join the team!
Reporting to the Chapter Lead, Digital Performance Marketing – Loyalty, and sitting in the wider Brand & Marketing team, you'll be responsible for generating portfolio, campaign targeting and offer insights that will feed into the evolution of customer engagement for Air New Zealand’s loyalty programme, Airpoints.
With 2-3 years in a similar role, you’ll be liaising with Product Owners as the subject matter expert to help embed customer targeting and insights into the marketing and offer development process. Success in this role means owning the data & analytics function of Digital Performance Marketing campaigns and programmes, which includes;
- scoping exercises,
- analytical deep dives,
- making targeting recommendations,
- extracting target lists,
- generating data for driving dynamic content,
- QC/proofing and post-campaign reporting with associated recommendations.
You’ll be a strong communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and confident in sharing your insights and expertise with various teams across the business to ensure there is a holistic view of all activity with ongoing optimisation to drive results.

Our ideal candidate:
- A University degree, preferably in a numerate discipline
- 2+ years' experience in a similar data driven marketing / analytical role
- Bring a solid level of digital experience, knowledge and skills to influence and impact positively on revenue growth
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work with data and a desire to either develop their career to perform advanced campaign management, market analysis or data planning
- Experience querying databases and manipulating large amounts of data to draw insights and recommendations. Experience in SQL desired but not critical.
- A solid understanding of database segmentation and database marketing processes
- Experience of using a campaign management application
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of data driven marketing, databases and data warehouses
- Understanding of data protection, privacy and legal compliance in relation to handling, storing and sharing of organisational data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal & team working skills
- Willingness, confidence and ability to take initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure to produce desired results capable of meeting deadlines
- Strong work ethic, detail oriented and process driven ‘no stone unturned’ approach to work.
