Digital Performance Marketing Specialist (Airline)

What this role means to us: 

Sitting in the wider Brand and Marketing team and reporting to the Digital Performance Marketing Chapter Lead (Team lead), you will be responsible for driving the delivery of performance-driven digital and direct marketing strategy that align with Air New Zealand’s Commercial Tribe’s (business area) business objectives of driving revenue growth through effective and cost-efficient marketing planning, implementation, optimisation and reporting. This role is key in bringing our vision to life, to deliver relevant, timely, accessible marketing content at scale, that puts the customer first. 

Being the subject matter expert for all things digital performance marketing (email, ecommerce, targeting, marketing automation, media optimisation, insights), you will support the development of a customer-first and data-driven digital media strategy to improve the customer experience and increase ROI across our digital and direct media channels.  

Essential skills and experience for the role:  

  • A University degree, preferably in a numerate discipline  
  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience, either in digital marketing, media, customer analytics, direct marketing or search marketing. 
  • You will be customer centric along with an in-depth understanding of and passion for data driven communications and digital marketing 
  • Bring a high level of digital experience, knowledge and skills to influence and impact positively on revenue growth. 
  • Thorough knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, or similar. 
  • Customer insights and analytics 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with manipulation of large amounts of data. 
  • Experienced in querying databases 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal & team working skills 
  • Willingness, confidence and ability to take initiative 
  • Ability to work well under pressure to produce desired results capable of meeting deadlines 
  • Strong work ethic, detail oriented and process driven ‘no stone unturned’ approach to work.
