EVP Specialist – Strategic Transformation & Delivery

Kia ora!

As an Enterprise Value and Performance (EVP) Specialist, you’ll help ensure our most important priorities deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers, our people, and our business.

You’ll join a team that plays a critical role in connecting strategy, prioritisation, governance, and delivery across the organisation. With a strong reputation for culture, service and innovation, Air New Zealand is consistently ranked as one of New Zealand’s most attractive employers.

About the role

We’re looking for an Enterprise Value and Performance (EVP) Specialist to help drive enterprise-wide alignment, performance and value across Air New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of strategy execution in one of New Zealand’s most iconic organisations.

This is a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2027.

In this role, you'll partner with leaders across the business to connect strategic priorities with delivery, helping teams focus on what matters most while ensuring accountability for outcomes. With visibility across multiple business units, you'll bring a whole-of-enterprise perspective to planning, prioritisation and performance, while also supporting some of our core cross-functional resourcing processes. You'll challenge thinking, facilitate critical conversations, and support leaders to make informed decisions that maximise value creation.

In addition to facilitating our Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, you'll play a key role in evolving and improving how we plan, prioritise and measure success. You'll help build organisational capability, strengthen governance disciplines, and embed a culture of accountability, transparency and value delivery across the business.

The role you will play

Some of the ways you'll make an impact include:

  • Facilitate and optimise outcomes from the QBR cycle, ensuring quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and long-term value roadmaps remain aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Review and challenge business unit OKRs and KPIs, driving ambition, clarity and measurable outcomes through robust performance frameworks.
  • Support enterprise resource allocation and prioritisation decisions, helping direct capacity and investment to the areas of greatest value.
  • Lead the preparation and facilitation of key QBR events, enabling productive discussions and effective decision-making.
  • Continuously improve processes, templates, tools and governance practices that support efficient planning, prioritisation and performance management.
  • Coach and educate leaders and teams on QBR methodologies, value management principles and the Air New Zealand Empowerment Framework.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organisation, providing support, insight and constructive challenge to drive stronger business outcomes.

What you'll bring

  • A strong combination of analytical capability, commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills, with a passion for improving business performance.
  • Financial literacy and an understanding of value creation, ideally gained within a large, complex organisation. Experience in an airline environment would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent problem-solving and business modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and navigate competing priorities.
  • Exceptional organisational capability, with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and deliverables within tight timeframes.
  • Experience with portfolio value management, performance reporting and supporting strategic planning processes.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Sentient, Azure DevOps, Miro and Microsoft Office, alongside strong digital capability.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

If you bring most of this experience, along with transferable skills and the drive to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications close 28th June 2026.
