How you’ll make an impact
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, based at our Airport Campus Offices, near Auckland Airport. As the IOC Crew and Operations Control Training Specialist, you’ll lead the design and developement of training and competency programmes for our Jet Operations and Crew Control teams. You’ll ensure our people are equipped with the right skills, knowledge and confidence to manage complex systems and respond to disruption with agility.
In this role, you’ll
- Define and implement competency standards and individual training plans, including recurrency requirements
- Develop engaging, effective training and assessment services aligned with operational needs and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Regional Operations Centre, Flight Planning and Load Control teams to ensure consistency across Airline Operations training material and operating procedures
- Maintain accurate training documentation and records to ensure compliance and traceability
- Continuously improve training content in response to system and process changes
- Support the development and rollout of SOPs and process controls, ensuring training needs are embedded in change initiatives
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance quality and cost-efficiency
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a confident training professional with a strong understanding of operational environments and a passion for capability development. This role will suit you if you are:
- Experienced in developing adult training and competency systems in operational or airline settings
- Skilled in developing and implementing training strategies that align with business goals
- Familiar with human factors and network operations control (desirable)
- Comfortable working with systems such as SAP, Visio, Promapp, Power BI or similar tools
- A strong communicator and collaborator, able to influence across teams and drive performance
- Knowledgeable in process improvement, change management and regulatory compliance
