Invoice Controller

Air New Zealand, the airline awarded for its commitment to customer satisfaction, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Invoice Controller for a 11 month period to fil in for maternity leave in Aircraft Maintenance and Delivery team. This role is pivotal in managing and administering our billing process for Maintenance Customer, ensuring we continue to maximize revenue and profitability while upholding our contractual commitments to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and Review: Scrutinize customer and sales documentation to guarantee billing accuracy, incorporating appropriate costs, margins, and contractual terms.
  • Monitor and Invoice: Keep track of outstanding costs and generate precise, timely invoices to aid in meeting financial objectives.
  • Reporting: Develop reports and spreadsheets to back billing documents and cater to specific customer needs.
  • Customer Service: Deliver precise financial information and analysis, resolving account inquiries to maintain exceptional customer service standards.
  • Credit and Debit Memos: Handle the processing of credit and debit memos with accuracy and promptness.
  • Financial Oversight: Spot financial discrepancies and devise strategies to enhance the business’s financial health.
  • Relationship Management: Foster internal and external relationships, offering advice and support to ensure smooth delivery of products and services.
  • Safety and Security: Vigilantly maintain the safety and security of all people, assets, systems, and procedures within your purview.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in an accounting environment, preferably with billing/payables experience.
  • A professional accountancy or financial qualification is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with SAP processes and transactions related to invoice control.
