Logistics Controller

Our Christchurch Distribution Logistics team has two 12-month Fixed Term or Secondment position available for a Logistics Controller within Supply Chain to support our Engineering & Maintenance area.
Logistics Controllers at Air New Zealand perform warehousing duties including tool control, goods storage, handling, delivery, inwards receiving inspection and dispatching functions. Our Logistics Controllers ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality standards are maintained, and that internal customers have what they need, when they need it. This is an entry level role at Air New Zealand which is a great start to a career in Logistics, Supply Chain and aviation in general.
This role will suit you if you are:
- Organised and methodical
- Enjoy working to deadlines
- Have an interest in working within a logistics environment with a focus on quality
- A strong customer focus
- Good computer skills
- Have a full New Zealand Drivers License
- A reasonable level of physical fitness
- Able to work a rotating roster.
- Any previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment, a current fork hoist license, any exposure to warehouse management systems and a high standard of maths will all be advantageous.
- Any previous experience in an Engineering environment where Tool identification, knowledge and control will all be advantageous.
We need a committed team member who has a personal commitment to achieving high standards with regards to performance, safety, customer service and adherence to company values and procedures.
Some core responsibilities will include:
- Prioritising to ensure all materials are receipted or dispatched within the required time frames with all appropriate accurate paperwork
- Ensuring all work complies with airworthiness and quality requirements
- Maintaining an orderly work environment
- Identifying and reporting any workflow practices to enhance efficiency.
