Payments Clerk

Air New Zealand's Group Shared Services (GSS) provides shared business services to Air New Zealand globally. Our Finance Solutions Centre works with internal and external customers up to the executive level. 

We are seeking an experienced Payments Clerk to join the team on a 7-month fixed-term contract.

As a first point of contact for supplier enquiries, you will provide help-desk support in the accounts payable space. You will deal with thousands of queries globally each month via phone and email, troubleshooting payment issues. With plenty of variety in your role, you will work alongside a collaborative team who will appreciate your enthusiastic attitude and continuous improvement mind-set.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A good working knowledge of the finance functions of ERP systems
  • Commercial experience gained in an Accounts Payable role or similar
  • The ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • A customer service mindset and eye for detail.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service 
  • Provide training and support for the Accounts Payable and Supply Chain systems users
  • Effective management of vendor accounts
  • Unflappable under pressure with outstanding initiative, organisational and problem-solving skills that set you apart.  
  • You're an independent worker and driven to achieve the targets the team sets itself. 
  • You will have experience dealing with significant volumes of data while also managing multiple priorities and high expectations.
