Procurement Specialist (Consultant)

We’re looking for two Procurement Specialists to join our high-performing Procurement team:
- Procurement Specialist – Property & Infrastructure: managing the Facilities Management services that keep Air New Zealand’s workplaces and operational sits running effectively
- Procurement Specialist – Travel & Inflight: managing the Beverages and Inflight Product categories that bring flavour and comfort to our customer journeys.

How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll partner with passionate stakeholders and suppliers across end-to-end procurement activities to deliver tangible and sustainable commercial value and elevate customer experiences across our global network.
You will:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activity for the above categories
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Develop and execute market engagement strategies that align with the airlines business goals
- Negotiate and manage contracts that drive value, quality, performance and compliance
- Drive positive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) outcomes
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking commercially astute professionals who bring a balance of technical skill, strategic thinking, and relationship capability.
You will have:
- A minimum 2-3yrs experience working in a dynamic commercial environment
- Strong procurement skills across sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier management
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions
- A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills
- A results-driven approach with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in using digital tools and data to develop actionable insights
- Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments (aviation, FMCG, hospitality, or energy sectors ideal).
MCIPS certification is preferred but not essential. These roles are based at our Airport Campus near Auckland Airport. Please note: You must hold current work eligibility for New Zealand to be considered.
