Due to internal movement, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Market Development team as Retail Marketing Executive, based in our Sydney office.

About the role:

As a Retail Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for implementing retail (D2C) marketing campaigns to drive revenue and strengthen our business position in the marketplace.

You’re a commercially savvy, hands-on marketer with a passion for performance, creative, and conversion-led campaigns. You will collaborate with partners and teams across the business as you manage the implementation and live management of tactical & partnership campaigns, ensuring all activity is optimised to maximise ROI for Air New Zealand and partners.

The role will be varied and your proactive approach and ability to manage multiple deadlines will be highly valued as you support various projects and business areas. Your strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills will be essential, along with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset.

About the team:

The AU Market Development team is tasked with driving commercial success of the business through marketing strategy & initiatives across the consumer and trade channels. What you will do:

  • Contribute positively to a cohesive and aligned retail marketing strategy
  • Support the development and execution of BAU promotional and tactical retail & partnership campaigns, with the opportunity to take the lead as experience grows
  • Assist in the planning and briefing of external creative and media agencies to deliver high-performing campaigns
  • Analyse campaign & media performance and providing actionable insights to optimise ROI and continuously improve channel performance
  • Collaborate with Online, Brand, Social, PR & Trade teams maximise impact
  • Marketing management of eDM communications to promote Air New Zealand’s products, services, sales and incentives
  • Maintain a marketing communications calendar and monitor competitor activity
  • Manage specific budget line items and deliver projects within allocated budgets, including support in forecasting

What you will bring to the role:

  • A degree in business, marketing or related field, combined with 3+ years' experience in a marketing role, preferably with experience working with agencies
  • Strong data analysis skills with a curiosity for uncovering trends and insights
  • Proven experience in campaign implementation & performance measurement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines
  • You’ll be a team player, with a love for travel and enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You’ll have enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, with an eagerness to learn
