Revenue Management Analyst (Specialist) - Inventory Shorthaul

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Revenue Management Chapter Area as a Revenue Management Analyst (Specialist). Playing a key part in maximising Air New Zealand's Shorthaul commercial performance by providing comprehensive analysis and strategies whilst considering both customer and commercial outcomes.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead Revenue Management for Inventory, Shorthaul, this role will suit someone with an eye for numbers who enjoys using insights to test new ideas.

The role you will play: 

  • Responsibility for end-to-end commercial performance for a set of routes within our Shorthaul network 
  • Provide in-depth insights of demand patterns and market conditions to influence flight pricing and clearly communicate route level strategy based on analysis. 
  • Ability to implement, track and analyse revenue management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to apply value adding ideas.
  • Monitor competitor activity and formulate relevant responses to ensure Air NZ retains its competitive advantage. 

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Tertiary qualification preferred in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Operations Research
  • Expertise in data analysis and data storytelling skills will be essential to provide insights into commercial decisions and projects 
  • Come from a background where commercial analysis is a key focus 
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and the confidence to provide advice to senior stakeholders across the business 
  • A big picture thinker who understands key economic drivers that impact our performance. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the drive to further yourself
