Sales Specialist (Cargo Sales)

Our Cargo Sales team sits at the heart of our commercial success, working with a diverse portfolio of customers from operators through to senior managers. You will shape business plans, uncover growth opportunities, and ensure Air New Zealand remains a trusted and competitive partner in the global cargo market. How you’ll make an impact
- Manage account portfolio and grow business opportunities to achieve agreed revenue, market share, and targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with account portfolio from operators through to senior managers to ensure opportunities are leveraged and targets reached.
- Execute strategic business plans with customers to gain long-term commitments to Air New Zealand.
- Build annual, quarterly, and monthly joint business plans, actions, and call cycles to generate revenue opportunities and meet targets.
- Secure new business within the assigned customer portfolio to ensure Air New Zealand’s market share is maintained and enhanced.
- Review and analyse account performance through effective use of corporate management information systems and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Proactively provide quality service to key customers and identify business opportunities for improvement and increased revenue.
- Prepare timely sales reports and bi-monthly sales returns to ensure accurate sales data is available in a timely manner.
- Identify new growth account opportunities and implement account plans with the aim of developing the portfolio of accounts.
- Lead and implement account training plans within assigned territories to ensure up-to-date information is provided to enhance revenue opportunities.
What you’ll bring
- 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally with a focus on account management
- Proven track record of achieving strong sales results with a results-oriented mindset
- Commercial acumen and business development skills, with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels
