Senior Systems Analyst - Cargo Operations
As a Senior Systems Analyst at Air New Zealand, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the digital systems that power our Cargo operation. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will ensure the stability and continuity of our Cargo business applications while driving system improvements that make a real difference to our customers and frontline users.
Your experience in digital systems within the logistics or airline industry, combined with your strong analytical skills, will position you to deliver innovative solutions and enable operational excellence. As a senior team member, you’ll also provide mentorship, lead by example, and champion continuous improvement across our systems and processes.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of critical Cargo business systems
- Configure, upgrade, and implement system enhancements
- Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime risks
- Maintain clear and accurate system documentation
- Support the introduction and adoption of new digital solutions
- Mentor peers and contribute to team capability growth
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather insights and align stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and vendors
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience supporting cloud-based systems in a medium to large organisation
- Solid understanding of SaaS platforms, system integrations, and service management practices
- Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and collaborative engagement
- Skilled in facilitating meetings and workshops to drive outcomes
- Experience working within Agile environments and applying QA principles
- Exceptional communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Initiative, independence, and a proactive “can-do” approach
- A passion for continuous improvement and delivering value through technology
- Ideally experience in Logistics or Cargo industry
