We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Workforce Specialist to join our Workforce Management team based at our Auckland Airport Campus.
Reporting to the Chapter Lead Rostering – Jets, you will help lead the development and delivery of effective rosters and processes. You'll ensure continuity and consistency, boost productivity, maintain performance standards, and ensure compliance with all business requirements, regulations, and standards.
About the role:
- Proactively Identify and address risks or issues with processes to improve efficiency and performance
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support system and process change
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and align with business metrics
- Assist in the development and implementation of training plans to ensure training needs are met in a timely manner and to support the demands of the operation
- Contribute to the development, enhancement, and testing of functional systems to ensure reliability and suitability to ensure training/operational needs and requirements are understood and communicated.
- Contribute to the leadership of the team by providing day to day supervision, guidance, and advice to ensure the development and maintenance of a High-Performance environment and compliance with business requirements, regulations, and standards.
- Manage the identification and reporting of safety risks and hazards, and employee training to ensure the protection of employees, customers, assets and Air NZ’s brand and compliance with safe operating practices, company policies and all regulations.
- Help provide leave coverage across the wider Rostering Chapter when required
Our ideal candidate:
- In-depth knowledge of Airline Operations and Workforce Management processes
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise within Rostering and Workforce Management
- Understanding of contractual and regulatory compliance requirements
- You have a continuous improvement focus and a demonstrated ability to assess and understand customer value
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven success in delivering end user training
- A solid communicator, strong problem solver, ability to think laterally and demonstrate agility
- A high degree of resilience and flexibility to manage constantly changing plans and priorities
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline is preferred but not essential (Aviation, Business, Statistics)
