Supply Planner

We have a rare opportunity available for a Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain Planning Team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role offers a great opportunity to drive continuous improvement and bring positive change to our systems, processes, and supply chain performance.  We are seeking someone who can develop effective material requirements planning mechanisms to ensure efficient demand fulfillment, inventory management, and overall supply chain activities. 

The role of Supply Planner includes:

  • Optimize inventory levels to maximize service and cost-effectiveness by regularly assessing and adjusting inventory based on changes in demand, ensuring timely delivery to the supply chain and end-users.
  • Analyse demand trends and effectively manage short product life cycles, such as wine and domestic snack categories etc, to ensure product continuity and minimize obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to execute the supply plan and proactively manage supply risk and constraints.
  • Maintain accurate information in the MRP system regarding planning parameters.
  • Ensure regular communication of demand data to suppliers and communicate insights and trends from demand reviews.
  • Participate in new product introduction projects to ensure the availability of supply for successful product launches.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring effective communication.

The planning done by this role is pivotal to ensure we always have the right in-flight products onboard to meet our customer expectations. 

We are looking for the following skills and experience for our Supply Planner:

  • Tertiary or educational qualifications in business, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Certifications from APICS or NZPICS such as CPIM, CSCP AND CLTD will be viewed favourably
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office tools
  • SAP experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and flexible environment with shifting priorities.
