Aircraft Engineer Components Electrical

Components & APU are positioning for a positive future, supporting both Air New Zealand and external Customer maintenance. We are looking for an Avionics Engineer to join our Electrical team in Christchurch. This opportunity is full time, in a day shift position.

To be a successful candidate, you will be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team that ensures OTP/TAT is met, without risk to safety or operational integrity. You will be able to maintain a high quality of work under tight timeframes.

Communication skills are important along with an ability to relate and interact with a wide range of people on a day-to-day basis. A strong customer focus with excellent time management skills is essential, along with an understanding of aircraft systems.

The purpose of the role is to provide excellent service to our own fleet and customers through the safe, accurate and timely delivery of maintenance. The successful people will be working within a highly regulated environment and need to be able to meet tight deadlines while juggling changing priorities.

Prerequisites for the positions are:

  • Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in Electrical Component and/or Avionic Systems maintenance
  • Ability to demonstrate great teamwork with a focus on getting results
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and our Safety Management System
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement and 5S.
