Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Components - Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)

Components & APU Christchurch are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team, supporting both Air New Zealand operations and third-party customer activity. The Components & APU team plays a vital role in maintaining the Airline’s operational resilience, while also generating revenue through external maintenance contracts.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be self-motivated and thrive in a team environment, working together to meet OTP/TAT targets without compromising safety or operational integrity. You’ll consistently deliver high-quality work, even when working to tight timeframes.
Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll bring a strong customer focus, excellent time management, and a sound understanding of aircraft systems.
Prerequisites for this position include:
- Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (or equivalent)
- Preferred experience with gas turbines and/or mechanical systems/component maintenance
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a strong focus on results
- Confidence working within a highly regulated environment
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety and our Safety Management System
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement and 5S principles.
