Why Rotorua?
Just two and half hours from Auckland but a world away from the hustle and bustle Rotorua is renowned for its rich Māori culture and otherworldly geothermal landscapes. The city has recently attracted more than $200 million in Central Government investment for exciting new developments that will continue to improve the city for residents and visitors alike, including the development of the city’s lakefront and spa facilities. People living in Rotorua enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities based around an extensive network of lush forest trails and sparkling lakes. This is a city rich in creativity and talent that is conveniently located for easy access to the Bay of Plenty coastline and the Central Plateau for sea and snow.
Housing in Rotorua is considered more affordable than other areas in New Zealand. The city offers a good range of housing options to rent or buy: modern subdivisions, suburban homes, rural lifestyle blocks, and lakeside properties.
