CNC Machinist / Aircraft Machinist

What you'll be doing
- Operate a wide range of manual and CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, vertical turning lathes, and 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres to deliver high precision components
- Manufacture, modify, and repair aerospace components and tooling that support the safe operation of our aircraft
- Design and program machining processes using SolidWorks and Mastercam for FANUC-controlled machinery
- Deliver one-off toolmaking and aircraft repair solutions by applying innovative thinking to complex engineering challenges
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality, precision, and safety across every stage of the machining process
- Partner with engineers, technicians, and other specialists to deliver projects efficiently while meeting operational requirements.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience operating both manual and CNC machining equipment, including mills, lathes, vertical turning lathes, and 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres
- Strong proficiency using SolidWorks and Mastercam to program FANUC-controlled machinery
- Demonstrated experience in one-off toolmaking with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex engineering projects
- Experience in aerospace or another high precision manufacturing environment is an advantage, but not essential
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of application.
