About the role
- Partner with business and technology teams to embed cyber security into initiatives and strategic decision making
- Translate cyber security risks into clear business outcomes that support informed decisions at every level
- Provide trusted specialist advice on cyber security policies, standards, and best practice across the organisation
- Support security governance, risk assessments, incident response activities, and compliance initiatives to strengthen Air New Zealand's security posture
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and suppliers to promote secure ways of working
- Identify opportunities to improve security practices through technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Help maintain compliance with recognised security frameworks and contribute to successful internal and external audits.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in information security within a large, complex organisation, including several years in a senior specialist or advisory role
- Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, and recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, or similar
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders and influencing decisions through clear, practical communication
- The ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering high quality outcomes
- Excellent relationship building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly regarded
- A passion for continuous learning and keeping pace with emerging cyber security trends and industry developments.
