Engineering Project Manager (Delivery Enablement Specialist)

Kia ora!

Help shape the future of Engineering at Air New Zealand, where your ability to bring people, projects and technical expertise together will help keep our aircraft flying safely, reliably and efficiently.

As an Engineering Delivery Enablement Specialist, you'll play a key role in turning complex engineering challenges into successful outcomes. From aircraft modifications to strategic improvement initiatives, you'll help deliver projects that strengthen fleet performance and make a real difference across our operation.

You'll join our Engineering team within Technical Operations (Tech Ops), working alongside Fleet Engineering, Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO), Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain and operational teams. It's an opportunity to influence meaningful change, build strong partnerships and contribute to the ongoing success of an iconic New Zealand airline.

How you'll make an impact

  • • Lead engineering projects and programmes from planning through to delivery, achieving agreed safety, quality, timeline and budget outcomes
  • • Develop integrated project plans, aligning milestones, resources and dependencies to keep complex initiatives on track
  • • Bring together engineering, operational and external stakeholders to resolve challenges, manage competing priorities and deliver shared outcomes
  • • Identify and manage project risks, issues and financial performance, providing clear reporting and recommendations to support informed decisions
  • • Coordinate engineering changes, aircraft modifications and strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with aviation regulations and safety standards
  • • Champion smarter ways of working, improving project delivery processes, collaboration and performance across Engineering and Tech Ops.

What you'll bring

  • • At least 3 years' experience in engineering, project or programme delivery, ideally within aviation, aerospace, manufacturing or another regulated environment
  • • Proven ability to coordinate complex projects across multiple teams, balancing priorities while delivering quality outcomes
  • • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and governance
  • • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to build relationships, engage stakeholders and navigate technical challenges
  • • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to improving processes and delivering practical solutions
  • • A relevant qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Aviation Management or equivalent practical experience. Exposure to aircraft modifications, continuing airworthiness, aviation regulations or Agile and Lean methodologies would be an advantage.

If you bring most of this experience, along with transferable skills and the drive to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
