Logistics Controller
Kia ora!
Our Auckland Distribution Logistics team has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Logistics Controller within Supply Chain, supporting our Engineering & Maintenance operation. This role may involve working a rotating roster, so flexibility across shifts may be required.
As a Logistics Controller at Air New Zealand, you’ll play a key role in our warehousing and logistics functions. This includes tool control, goods storage and handling, delivery, inwards receiving inspections, and dispatch activities. You’ll help ensure our Engineering teams have the right tools and materials, at the right time, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
This is an entry-level role, making it a great starting point for a career in logistics, supply chain and aviation.
This role may be a great fit if you:
- Are organised, methodical and enjoy working to deadlines
- Have an interest in logistics and warehousing, with a strong focus on quality
- Are customer-focused and take pride in delivering accurate, timely service
- Have good computer skills
- Have a reasonable level of physical fitness
- Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence.
Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment is advantageous, as is a current fork hoist licence, exposure to warehouse management systems and strong numeracy skills. Experience in an engineering environment, particularly with tool identification, knowledge and control, will also be highly regarded.
We’re looking for a committed team member who takes personal responsibility for achieving high standards in performance, safety, customer service, and adherence to Air New Zealand’s values and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritising tasks to ensure materials are receipted and dispatched within required timeframes, with accurate and complete documentation
- Ensuring all work complies with airworthiness and quality requirements
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised work environment
- Identifying and reporting opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency
This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a unique and dynamic industry.
If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply via our Careers site.
Applications close Tuesday 20th January 2026.
