Our Auckland Supply Chain Operations team has a position available for a Materials Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector. The Materials QA Inspection team is responsible to ensure that all incoming aircraft parts, materials and components (including externally repaired) are fully inspected to ensure that they are fully compliant prior to being released serviceable for use on our Air NZ fleet or customer aircraft.
The challenge for this role is the ability to maintain a very high standard of quality control while trying to satisfy very tight processing timeframes. Timely availability of aircraft products is essential to the airline's operation.
This role offers a variety of job tasks and the satisfaction of meeting constantly changing priorities in a fast-paced operational workplace - no two days are ever the same.
If you are currently authorised to certify aircraft or aircraft components, have strong quality focus particularly with respect to attention to fine detail and enjoy working in a challenging environment, this opportunity may be for you. We want a committed team member who achieves high standards with regards to performance, safety, customer service and adherence to company values and procedures.
To be successful in the role you will need to have:
- Completed an Aircraft Engineering trade or equivalent qualification with 5 year trade experience
- Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of the business
- The drive to meet deadlines and expectations while demonstrating a very high level of accuracy
- Proficient in the use of SAP
- Proficient in review of Service Bulletins and other approved data
- The ability to work autonomously being a self-starter yet work equally well as an engaged team player.
