Operations Controller
Kia ora!
Air New Zealand is recruiting now for an Operations Controller within the Integrated Operations Centre, based at the Auckland Airport Campus. In this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the network’s international and domestic jet operations to maintain the integrity of the schedule and minimize the impact of network disruptions to achieve optimised outcomes for our customers and stakeholders.
This is a challenging position where you will be required to make critical operational decisions under pressure, both independently and as part of a team. To succeed in this role, you will need superior attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, an ability to remain calm and optimistic under pressure and be effective at communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders from frontline teams to executive leaders.
Previous experience in aviation operations or equivalent domain is a must, and specific experience in an Operations Control capacity working with complex systems, computer applications, and/or schedules is ideal. Knowledge of Civil Aviation Rules and/or flight crew employment agreements would be highly advantageous.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone with a decisive, resilient and collaborative mind-set who thrives in a demanding environment. The role is shift-based, so flexibility to work nights and weekends is essential.
If you think you have the skills and enthusiasm to thrive in this role, please apply by submitting a CV online. Advertising closes on the 23rd May 2025.
At Air New Zealand, we are proudly committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and believe in creating a truly inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and thrive. Our people are our greatest asset – because while everything else we do in our operation can be replicated by our competitors, it is our people that truly set us apart. We are firm believers in celebrating the differences and diversity of thought our people bring to their roles.
