Operations Delivery Manager Resource

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide subject matter expertise and guidance across our operational area and the wider business. In this role, you will deliver fit-for-purpose resourcing-related processes, plans, procedures, products, and tools, ensuring all solutions meet regulations, safety, compliance, and standards.

You will develop, influence, and drive the delivery of strategies to optimize the utilization of operations, focusing on productivity, flexibility, and improving long-term customer, culture, and commercial outcomes. Additionally, you will provide input and insights into planning processes and lead discussions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of trade-offs between revenue generation, cost of resourcing, people engagement, safety, and operational resilience and integrity.

Your contributions will support strategic objectives for Quarterly Business Review/Objective and key result planning, change management, operational design, and implementation. 

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence and contribute towards work in Tribes, Squads, and Centres of Excellence to develop business cases, project and feature prioritization, and implementation within key strategic programs of work
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders at a senior management level to deliver commercial, customer, and culture goals through effective resource plans
  • Identify opportunities to manage and control annual leave, rostered overtime, and additional work opportunities from workplan forecasts to support the efficient and effective delivery of Maintenance operational services
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to leverage cost and efficiency gains and introduce new products and technology
  • Provide input and analysis to help forecast the long-term requirements for staffing and skill sets
  • Co-ordinate relevant squad activity by ensuring that all squad members are aligned with the goals and timelines by attending regular meetings, facilitating communication, and tracking progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years of broad-based airline operations experience, with resource management experience preferred
  • Proven effective leadership experience, credibility, and ability to lead significant operational change
  • Strong regulatory industry knowledge preferred in an airline environment
  • Relevant aviation or tertiary qualification(s), or equivalent demonstrated experience.
