Pricing Distribution Analyst (Revenue Management Specialist)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Revenue Management Chapter Area as a Pricing Distribution Analyst. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across our business, you will support the ongoing commercial success of the business by providing insights, recommendations and pricing system expertise, to help guide the development and implementation of pricing product.

The role you will play:

  • The distribution of fare products into various systems (e.g. Carina, ISIS, ATPCO, GDS), ensuring fares are accurate and filed in a timely manner 
  • Identifying and researching commercial requirements, making recommendations to develop and enhance Pricing systems, and to ensure that competitive advantage is maintained.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable business and industry specific legislative/regulatory requirements
  • Benchmarking industry standards and measure Pricing systems performance to achieve world’s best practice
  • Working closely with our pricing and offshore commercial teams to ensure that Air New Zealand's product is competitive and aligned to key commercial objectives
  • Provide Pricing system IP and expertise across the business, helping to develop and enhance pricing product and strategies to respond to competitive and market changes

Our ideal candidate: 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial or analytical based role
  • An understanding of airline pricing and fare construction principles
  • Broad understanding of GDS and PC systems and applications
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and liaise confidently and effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex business issues to individuals with non-technical background
  • Commitment to being part of a team-oriented organisation seeking continuous improvement
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously, quick to grasp new concepts, and comfortable dealing with complex applications.
  • Curiosity, strong intuition, with energy and motivation to be effective in a constantly changing environment
