Procurement Specialist (Procurement Consultant)
This job has now closed.
Air New Zealand's Procurement team is intrinsically connected to our company's purpose, to "Enrich our country by seamlessly connecting New Zealanders to each other and New Zealand to the world."
Covering a managed spend base of ~NZ$3.3bn, Procurement is an integral part of Air New Zealand's Supply Chain division, a team which operates as a Centre of Excellence model focused on enhancing operational and commercial outcomes by strategically linking procurement, inventory management, logistics, supplier management and performance analytics.
We currently have an opportunity available to join our team as a Procurement Consultant in the Engineering and Maintenance Category. In this role you will collaborate with both our Aircraft Engineering and Fleet management Teams and Aircraft Maintenance Teams in assisting our Procurement Category Managers with strategic supplier activity across a global supply base, including category strategy development, Supplier Relationship Management, plus driving improvement in commercial outcomes. You will also lead these activities for a selected number of sub-categories and specific improvement programmes.
This position will be primarily based at the Christchurch Airport Engineering offices. This is a rare and outstanding opportunity to work in the Aviation environment and make a significant and lasting contribution to Air New Zealand's success. We are ideally looking for someone with Procurement experience who wants to develop their technical and soft skills in a new environment. We would, however, consider candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications and interest in procurement and aviation.
Please note that this position requires you to hold work eligibility at the time of your application that enables you to work in New Zealand. While we are passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive organisation, for this position we are unable to employ anyone who does not currently have the right to legally work in New Zealand.
To be considered for the role, please apply online via our Careers website.
Applications close 20th January 2025.
At Air New Zealand, we are proudly committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and believe in creating a truly inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and thrive. Our people are our greatest asset – because while everything else we do in our operation can be replicated by our competitors, it is our people that truly set us apart. We are firm believers in celebrating the differences and diversity of thought our people bring to their roles.
Whāia te pae tawhiti kia tata. Ko te pae tata whakamaua, kia tina.
