Sales Specialist (Partner Management)

The Sales chapter is recruiting for a Sales Specialist (Partner Management) to join the team based in Auckland on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is responsible for supporting the growth and performance of our Loyalty relationships, working closely with Travel, Retail or Financial partners to help deliver commercial outcomes and improved member engagement.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead Loyalty Partners, this role will support the management of selected partner portfolios and contribute to the delivery of partner growth plans, campaign activity, forecasting, reporting, contract management, and day to day partner engagement.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sales, account management, partnerships, or loyalty who is ready to grow into a more commercially focused partner management role.

The role you will play

  • Support loyalty driven revenue growth by helping identify and deliver commercial opportunities across partner portfolios
  • Manage day to day relationships with selected Airpoints partners, supporting regular engagement, issue resolution, and delivery of agreed activity
  • Assist with the development and delivery of partner growth plans, including campaign activity, member engagement initiatives, and portfolio improvement opportunities
  • Use reporting and performance data to track partner results, identify trends, and support recommendations for growth
  • Support revenue forecasting, budget tracking, and portfolio performance reporting to help ensure commercial outcomes are delivered
  • Work with internal teams including finance, legal, marketing, product, operations, and analytics to deliver partner initiatives effectively
  • Support contract oversight by helping monitor partner obligations, key deliverables, renewal dates, and agreed commercial terms
  • Contribute to marketing and communications activity that supports Loyalty partners, from campaign planning through to performance review
  • Prepare partner updates, performance summaries, meeting materials, and internal reporting to support effective decision making
  • Help identify process improvements that make it easier for partners and internal teams to deliver great outcomes for Koru members
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent Air New Zealand professionally in partner discussions.

Our ideal candidate

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in sales, account management, partnerships, loyalty, financial services, or a similar commercial environment
  • Experience working with external partners, clients, or third-party relationships
  • A developing understanding of financial services, OTAs/TMCs or the broader travel ecosystem, or Loyalty
  • Comfortable working with commercial targets, sales plans, reporting, and performance measures
  • Able to interpret data and reporting to identify insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear updates, presentations, and written communications
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercially curious, proactive, and keen to grow capability in partner strategy, negotiation, and portfolio management
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working across teams to deliver great customer and commercial outcomes.
