We are looking for a high-performing and enthusiastic Senior Data Scientist (Internal job title: Senior Data Science and Engineering Specialist), who will be hands-on, building Data Science solutions, and developing products from concept to production across all areas of Air New Zealand. You will be part of our Data Science team which has developed a strong results-oriented reputation across our business. This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about AI who wants to come and help drive exciting change at the airline.
We are looking for people that will bring:
- A highly motivated, self-starter, proactive attitude that thrives working in a collaborative team environment.
- The ability to lead the analysis, design, and deployment of new Data Science initiatives.
- A curious attitude, comfortable dealing with problems that are not always well specified or understood and data that is sometimes incomplete and inaccurate.
- Confidence and experience applying Data Science to help solve business challenges.
Key skills and experience required for this role:
- 5+ years' experience as a Data Scientist in a relevant field.
- Strong foundation of Python skills.
- Experience developing solutions within a Cloud Environment.
- A solid understanding of the mathematical principles behind Data Science principles.
- Practical experience delivering valuable Data Science projects within an enterprise environment.
