Senior Cybersecurity AppSec Specialist - Cloud

We are looking for a driven Senior Cybersecurity AppSec Specialist - Cloud (Internal Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Specialist) to assist the team with application security and cloud security to ensure the business is protected and supported in complying with procedures, regulations, and standards.

What will you be working on?

  • Support and evolve the Threat & Vulnerability Management & DevSecOps processes.
  • Support the maintenance of AppSec tooling (such as SAST / SCA).
  • Lead application & cloud security reviews and threat modelling, including code review and dynamic testing.
  • Lead in the development of automated security testing to validate that secure coding best practices are being used.
  • Guide and advise product development teams as SMEs in application & cloud security.
  • Develop security training and socialise the material with internal development teams.
  • Scale application & cloud security by developing automated security testing or centralised security libraries that enable developers to write secure code more easily.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional positive changes across the security organisation.

To be successful in this role we are looking for the following:

  • Experience with source control / CI/CD tools such as ADO, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Strong experience in Cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
  • Strong development or scripting experience and skills in some of the following languages: Java, Javascript, Python. 
  • Strong understanding and experience with common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws.
  • Experience in lifting security posture in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) in at least one technical area impacting the security of the product. 
  • Strong experience working closely with developers. Excellent and professional communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate complex topics clearly and concisely.
