Senior Marketing Technology Specialist
Kia ora!
Air New Zealand is on an accelerated journey to become the world’s leading digital airline. As our Senior Marketing Technology Specialist, you'll shape how millions of customers experience our brand, harnessing next-generation technology like real-time data activation, AI-driven personalisation, and cutting-edge marketing automation.
We're in an exciting phase of Martech transformation, having recently made strategic investments in platforms such as Hightouch and Braze. AI is at the core of this evolution, transforming customer journeys, enhancing decision-making, and redefining personalisation. You'll join a passionate, driven, and collaborative team that's enthusiastic about innovation and bringing bold thinking to life.
How you’ll make an impact
- Lead strategic optimisation and governance across key Martech platforms (e.g., Hightouch, Braze, Optimizely, Marigold Grow).
- Drive Martech roadmap planning and influence technology selection and architecture decisions.
- Enhance capabilities in campaign orchestration, audience segmentation, personalisation, and AI-driven decisioning.
- Foster vendor relationships, evaluate new marketing tools, and align Martech strategies with broader digital initiatives.
- Champion AI and machine learning capabilities to unlock predictive insights, generative content, and automated marketing processes.
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years in Martech, Marketing Operations, or Marketing Engineering roles.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-grade marketing automation and channel orchestration platforms (Braze, Acoustic, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Solid expertise in Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Hightouch, Tealium, Segment) and data ecosystems (Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Proven ability or strong curiosity to leverage AI/ML tools for marketing automation, predictive modelling, or journey decisioning.
- Demonstrated track record influencing platform selection and building compelling business cases.
- Experience with modern data stack tooling, such as dbt.
- Effective stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices in customer data governance.
Bonus points if you have
- Hands-on experience evaluating or implementing AI-powered marketing tools in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity working in Agile or marketing squads, possibly as a Product Owner.
- Interest or experience in networking and cyber security.
If you bring most of this experience, along with transferable skills and the drive to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
What’s in it for you We want our people to live their best lives and access great benefits that support their lives outside work:
- Discounted flights for you and your whānau.

- A learning culture designed to support your next step, not just your current role.
